The heat is on out here in the desert but don’t let it stop you from getting your daily dose of exercise. ☀️I did an experiment drinking a gallon of water a day for 2 weeks and I felt awesome💦 I say experiment because I too could be better about drinking more precious life liquid. Fun fact, you lose fat through your sweat and you sweat best when hydrated properly. So for all you looking to lean out before the beach trip, make sure youre drinking plenty of water before, during, and after your workouts!! Shout out to my special lady modeling this shot 📸

Today marks 4 months no alcohol. it’s a choice I have to continually make everyday. For anyone battling with alcohol addiction who is a believer I can say that prayer is the one thing that got me out of a constant habit that had no end in sight. “ you can’t quit the demon you love.” Mornings I had to pray, God help me not want this anymore. I would make promises to not drink for a day, or two. Sometimes I would promise myself not drink for a whole week. But again and again, I would come back to drinking for just as long as I’ve given it up. I no longer had faith that I could do this myself. But when I finally gave it up, I didn’t make any promises. I didn’t set any goals or standards. There was just a realization that, I may have to live a life where I can never have another alcoholic drink again. That concept would bring me to tears when I would talk about it with my wife. Crying, letting go of alcohol felt like losing an old friend. And yet, it’s not a friend and the illusion of the freedom alcohol brings had to be shattered. One more attachment to a fading reality of carefree living, relaxation, and perfection. The truth lies on the side of sobriety. The truth is not easy. But what is easier than drinking…is waking up feeling good each morning…reducing disagreements and hurt feelings with my lover…focusing on attaining fulfillment through my actions and achievements…having less body pains and aches. If you struggle with needing a drink every night, I understand, and I wouldn’t even say “STOP IT” but look at it. Really look at the drink, the place you are in, the actions that proceed that drink, and the feeling you are feeling inside that moment. Be so pain stakingly present in that moment that you ask yourself if you want free from it. And if you want free from it, ask god for help.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
